On November 13, 2021, after an unprecedented campaign, we won agreements with Kaiser Permanente. The following is a list of the new agreements we’ve reached, with many gains going into effect on January 1, 2022. In mid-2022, look out for the printed booklet of our 2021-2024 Alliance National Agreement.

PROBLEM & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Recommendation 3: Provide just-in-time training for issue resolution participants.

Recommendation 4: Develop internal capacity to train/facilitate IR.
PATIENT AND WORKER SAFETY

Create a National LMP EID and Racial Justice taskforce that report into the Alliance LMP Executive Committee

Health Equity, including:
-
Include Equity, Inclusion and Diversity projects to the “Quality” category that UBTs could choose to work on in the Path to Performance for level 3 and higher.

Develop targeted goals and strategies, materials, existing staff, and necessary resources to eliminate employee care gaps and health disparities (in partnership with Workforce Wellness)

Partner with Quality and Care Delivery to identify priority areas where LMP could support improvement of culturally responsive practices targeted to people of color

Workforce Equity, including:

To mitigate bias in the hiring process, KP will provide education and training to hiring managers and interview panelists on importance of and how to utilize inclusive hiring and selection practices.

STAFFING, BACKFILL, AND TRAVELERS

Recommendation 1: Encourage LMP Council to sponsor Backfill & Staffing work to prioritize and help remove barriers, including but not limited to sick calls, attendance.

Recommendation 2: LMP Council will add Partnership goals to its standing agenda for June and December.
