Earlier this month, we held the largest Alliance Leadership Conference to date! With over 400 participants, 40 speakers, and 14 workshops, we came together to RENEW and deploy our partnership commitments, MOBILIZE our members, unit-based teams and each other, and GO! by charting our path forward in 2024 and 2025.
On Day 1: RENEW
We heard the state of the Alliance and our partnership from Alliance Executive Director, Hal Ruddick & UNAC/UHCP President, Charmaine Morales.
We heard from & asked questions of KP CEO & Chairman Greg Adams.
We learned the secret sauce to our affordability success with a partnership panel discussion featuring both management and labor representatives from the national and regional affordability task forces.
We presented our Alliance vision for Staffing, UBTs, Racial Justice, and Just Culture.
We also heard an original poem about UBTs and since we were at the Dolby Theater, held the first-ever Alliance Academy Awards.
On Day 2: MOBILIZE
Day 2 of the Alliance Leadership Conference was focused on mobilizing our members, UBTs, and each other.
We heard a call to action from Kathy Finn, President of the 31,000-member-strong UFCW 770, who represents Kaiser workers and is a consumer of KP healthcare through the Trust Fund.
We also discussed membership engagement, how to strengthen our UBTs, and held a second round of the Alliance Academy Awards.
We also had various interactive workshops on topics like storytelling, PSP affordability, emotional well-being, and advancing equity in the workplace.
